Position Available: TFA Junior Football (Soccer) Coach

Total Football Academy (TFA) specialises in soccer coaching programs for children aged 4 to 18 years of age and currently works with more than 150 schools in Queensland. TFA programs are designed to enhance both the skills and performance of young soccer players as well as providing children of all ages and ability levels with a fun and safe environment to learn and play.

All TFA staff are either former or current players with appropriate experience and credentials, including blue cards. TFA prides itself on providing only the highest level of coaching and aims to develop great young people as well as great players. Our coaches possess not only excellent professional reputations but also a fantastic rapport with children. All coaches hold a minimum of FA level 2 or FFA C license. Last year, TFA coached more than 18,000 players in Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern New South Wales schools. Total Football Academy are seeking 3 coaches to join our experienced team either part time or casual basis with various hours. Overview:

You will work in our school programs. Sessions will be delivered before, during and after school. You will provide players with the skills and confidence required to progress in the TFA pathway delivering the TFA philosophy. Coaches may also be required to deliver sessions in our Academy programs or Club sessions.

Required Qualifications

FA Level 2 or Australian C license as a minimum with minimum of 2 years of junior football coaching experience (desirable) or FA Level 1 or FFA Junior or Senior Coaching License with 3 years of proven junior football coaching experience. Applicants should also have a manual driving licence with a minimum of 5 years’ driving experience.

TFA Junior Football (Soccer) Coach Job Description

Contract Length: 6 – 12 Months

Reporting to: General Manager

Success Looks Like:

To be successful in this role you will need to provide quality coaching service in line with the TFA philosophy.  The coach will be a ‘face’ of the TFA and will uphold the standards and quality for clients which leads to repeat business and increased client base through positive reputation.

Liaise with internally:

Director, General Manager, Other TFA Coaches, Administration and Human Resources Department

The main responsibilities of the role:

  • Delivering the TFA Soccer programs to players aged 4 to 16 years olds at schools, childcare centres and clubs across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.

  • Promoting TFA programs to players and parents at demonstration sessions.

  • Checking registered players’ attendance at each session

  • Signing in at the school reception prior to the session and collecting players from collection point.

  • Accurate administering of registration forms, payments and reconciling payments at the end of each session.

  • Issuing of receipts to parents who make payments at the session.

  • Providing customer service to parents and reporting back to General Manager with any feedbacks.

  • You are required to drive to the location of the program, arrive and set up for the session 30 minutes prior to the start time and pack up and account for all equipment at the end of each session.

  • Ensure all equipment is well maintained and returned in the original condition

  • You may be required to drive company vehicle to attend sessions. You must complete the log book for each trip.

  • Ensure the checklist of equipment is completed and accounted for accurately with the supervising coach.

  • Time management and ensuring you have all details of the program location to arrive on time for set up.

  • Responsible for correctly distributing merchandise (Kits, Shin Pads, Soccer Balls)

  • Running and delivering academy development sessions, club team sessions and coaching club teams.

  • Delivering all sessions according to the standard of TFA and as set out in the TFA Coaching Handbook.

  • Complete session plans for club team coaching sessions

  • Handling of 30kg inflatable soccer field

  • Adhere to TFA Code of conduct

A successful candidate will possess:

  • Either a FA Level 2 or Australian C licence as a minimum with minimum of 2 years of junior football coaching experience or

  • FA Level 1 or FFA Junior or Senior Coaching Licence with 3 years of proven junior football coaching experience

  • Available for work outside of school hours (before, lunch and after school), weekends and school holidays and during School hours.

1.Team Coaches
Coaching players aged 6 to 18 years of age. Team coaches will coach at our partner Football Clubs and also in our Football Academies. Team coaches will also lead our professional camps for players aged 13 to 18 Years Old.
Required qualifications
We are looking for coaches who have one of the following coaching licences FFA A, UEFA A or FFA B, UEFA B. The position will be most suited to coaches who have completed the F.A. junior coaching modules (age appropriate courses).
2. Junior Coaches
Coaching young children between 4 and 10 Years of age before, during and after Schools. Junior Coaches may also be involved in junior tournaments, holiday camps, and possibly some development sessions. All Coaches need to be enthusiastic and have previous experience.
Required qualifications
All staff will need to either have one of the following coaching licenses – FFA C licence,  FA level 2, or started the F.A junior coaching modules or have equivalent coaching badge/s.
